About Náboj

Náboj Physics is an international competition in fast solving of physics problems for high school teams composed of four or five members. At the beginning, each team obtain a set of eight problems. Subsequently, after a successful submission of correctly solved problem, they obtain a new one. The winner is a team that has solved the most problems in a two-hours period.
About Náboj

Problems in the competition

Overall, 40 interesting problems are prepared for the competition, a focus of which covers a wide scale of physics. A difficulty of the problems gradually increases. Whilst the simplest problems should be easily solved even by youngest high-school students, the most difficult ones exceed the high-school scope. Yet, Náboj Physics is scarcely about headless calculating; instead, it rather requires a bit of inventiveness.

Categories

The competition is split into two categories – Seniors and Juniors – hence you do not need to be afraid that you would compete against much older students. Only students who are not in their last two years of high-school study are allowed to compete in the Juniors category. And although a same set of problems is to be solved in both categories, results are announced separately. The best teams in each category are rewarded with interesting prizes.

International confrontation

Since 2015, Náboj Physics has been taking place also abroad. It gives a unique opportunity for students to compare their abilities and knowledge to their counterparts from other countries. And although the results are evaluated primary on local level, an international comparison adds an extra motivation and rivalry.
